Posterisan Forte Ointment 10G is a unique topical preparation containing inactivated E. coli bacterial culture suspension combined with hydrocortisone, indicated for the treatment of hemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, anal pruritus (itching), and perianal dermatitis. The bacterial culture component stimulates the local immune defense and promotes wound healing, while hydrocortisone provides anti-inflammatory and anti-itch relief.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
The inactivated E. coli bacterial culture suspension stimulates local non-specific immune responses in the perianal and anorectal region. It activates macrophages and enhances phagocytic activity, promoting tissue repair and strengthening the local mucosal defense. Hydrocortisone is a mild corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, swelling, redness, and itching by suppressing the production of inflammatory mediators and stabilizing cell membranes. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
● Apply a small amount of ointment to the affected area 2 to 4 times daily, including after each bowel movement

● Clean the perianal area gently before each application
● Continue treatment for up to 2 to 3 weeks or as directed by the physician

SIDE EFFECTS
